We take pride in the goods that we import and manufacture and offer to consumers who purchase our products, the warranty set out in this document. This warranty against defects is provided in addition to other rights or remedies you, as a consumer, may have at law.
Subject to the ‘Exclusions and Limitations’ as set out below, we warrant to you that if you are a consumer who purchases products directly from us, or from any of our authorised suppliers, that they will not contain defects which are a result of faulty manufacturer workmanship or materials.
This warranty subsists for the period set out below (Warranty Periods) in respect of each product. The warranty period commences on the date the product is purchased. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferrable to any other person under any circumstances.
No warranty against defects is offered and we will not be liable for defects which are as a result of:
We will not be liable for any wearable component in any product, including but not limited to blades, slitters, cutting sticks, cutting light bulbs, drill bits, base boards, feed wheels, separators, fuses, cutters and carriers, manual punches and cutting disks, light bulbs, castors and staple inserts, any transport for delivery costs associated with returning the product to us, or any service agreements entered into with any third parties.
We will not be liable for any special, indirect, consequential or economic loss or damage or loss of profits (in contract or tort or arising from any other cause of action) suffered by you or any other person resulting from any act or omission by us.
Our total liability in respect of this warranty against defects is limited, at our option to: the replacement of the goods, or the repair of the goods.
Any claim made under this warranty must be made by first contacting the store of purchase and providing the store with details of the defect and evidence of purchase. The store of purchase will then have the option to contact Jasco Pty Ltd (the company providing this warranty), either by telephone (02) 9807 1555, by post: PO BOX 135, West Ryde, NSW 1685, or by email at sales@jasco.com.au within the warranty period.

We may require that any product the subject of this warranty be sent to us or one of our authorised service agents for assessment. If the product weighs more than 25kg and is capable of repair, it may be repaired (at our discretion) at the product’s operating site.
When the product is delivered to us or our authorised service agent you are required to provide us with proof of purchase which details the purchase date.
We will not be liable for any costs, loss or damage incurred in connection with transportation or delivery of the product to us or our authorised service agent. Upon delivery to us or our authorised service agent will organise for the product to be assessed to determine if the fault or problem is covered by this warranty. We will advise you by telephone, email or in writing whether the fault is covered by this warranty. Any and all faults covered by this warranty will be scheduled and undertaken within a reasonable period of time, depending upon the availability of replacement parts, components and appropriate person to undertake the work.
In circumstances where the product is returned to us pursuant to this warranty and the product has been misused or not used in accordance with any care instructions or user manual we reserve the right to charge you the reasonable costs associated with assessing the product to determine whether or not it is covered by this warranty.
Such misuse may include laminations which have been jammed as a result of user error, staplers which are jammed due to use with incorrect staplers or electric sharpeners which have had parts of pencils jammed in the cutters.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
